Proficiency Testing!

02/23/2010 - Please note the following proficiency testing dates.

March 9, 2010: Reading/Science (10-12)
- Common test day/no school for 9th graders!
March 10, 2010: Writing (11-12)
March 11, 2010: Math (10-12)




Taylor Herrington - Among the President's Top Twenty!

02/23/2010 - Congratulations to International Baccalaureate Senior Taylor Herrington for his appointment to the United States Military Academy.  He was nominated by JROTC and appointed by the President of the United States of America!  Taylor was chosen over ten thousand other cadets that applied to West Point, and the President selected Taylor as one of his Top Twenty!   He will attend West Point in June 2010.  We are ALL proud of the accomplishments this young man has made in the last 4 years at Valley High School!   You are truly The Best, Taylor!



$1000.00 Scholarship Recipient

02/23/2010 - At the annual Sun Youth Forum, Valley High School student Francisco Guzman was the recipient of a$1000.00 scholarship from the office of Senator Steven Horsford.   He plans to use the scholarship monies at CSN while earning a degree in business management.   Congratulations, Francisco and thank you for representing Valley HighSchool.



Amazing determination!

02/23/2010 - During Thanksgiving Break, International Baccalaureate Senior, Clarisa Sorge, flew to Germany for a job interview and was accepted by the internationally known computer/business company IBM.  She will attend the University of Cooperative Education in Baden-Württemberg and study International Business Information Technology. What amazing determination she has!
